Can you buy a cell phone at walmart without having to start a new service plan?

I want to buy a cell phone at walmart but i’m not sure if i could add it to my account at verizon or if i have to start a new acount. So do i have to start a new service plan or can i add it to my verizon one?

Can you transfer your cell phone service onto a phone you buy from a different store or business?

I’m looking to buy a new cell phone and need to find out what my options are. I’m not crazy about the limited selection of cell phones that my service provider offers and would like to buy one elsewhere. Can you buy a phone from another place (e.g. Walmart, ebay, etc.), take it to your cell service provider, and have your current plan transferred onto it, or can you only do this with phones that are bought from your service provider? Many stores sell contract phones that are already linked with a certain service provider that offers a plan with purchase. Is it true that there are codes that are already programmed in for just one provider? Can this be changed? And what about pre-paid phones – can you buy one and have a regular contract service transferred onto it? Please help! Thanks

ATTENTION ALL IPHONE 3G OWNERS! plz answer my question!?

ok,in afew weeks i plan to buy an iphone 3g,but i have questions…
1. is it always 97$,or is that just a sale? bcuz i am buying it @ walmart,and on the website it said the iphone 3g is 97$,but idk if it is always that price…when u bought yuors,how much did it cost?
2. is it worth 97$,and what glitches does it have?
3.what does it NOT come with (that you have to buy sepratley),that you need to do all the stuff on the iphone,(charger,usb cable,cords and stuff you need to do stuff like go online,use gps/maps,take pics…etc.)
4.what is your personal reveiw on the iphone 3g?
5.if i have a contract with bellsouth,and in order to buy the iphone3g i have to sign a 2 year contract with at&t,will i still be able to buy the iphone,and sign the at&t contract? i heard at&t is with bellsouth,and the iphone is from at&t so….
oh yeah,arn’t thay really fragile? and does the case cost alot???

buying cell phones from best buy or walmart in store?

Hey, I am on a family plan and all phones are eligible for upgrades. I want to get 3 LG Vu’s and a Samsung Eternity. Is there any trouble with getting them from Best Buy or Walmart? Do the phones cost less? Are there upgrade fees? Is it the same thing as upgrading at the AT&T store?
